Patterns inside 2
The number 2 establishes even-versus-odd pairing and begins both the prime numbers and the positive powers of two.
It is the only even prime
The positive divisors of 2 are exactly 1 and 2. Any larger positive even integer has a divisor distinct from 1 and itself, so it cannot be prime.
